Chichibu Angels
Presentation
This new edition in Christian Drouin's Experimental range once again explores collaborations with Japanese whiskies.
The Experimental by Christian Drouin, Chichibu Angels, is a blend of 12-year-old Calvados Pays d'Auge matured for 4 to 10 months in five former casks from the renowned Japanese Single Malt, Chichibu.
The result is a subtle and elegant alliance between the aromas of one of Japan's rarest single malts and the finest eaux-de-vie of Normandy.
"It was a great honor for us to have the opportunity to work with casks as rare and precious as those from Chichibu. They brought a delicate and elegant imprint to our calvados."
— Guillaume Drouin
Tasting Notes:
Golden color.
On the nose, aromas of roasted apple and quince jam evolve into hints of precious woods and powdered cereals.
The palate is intense and finely etched, balancing notes of barley husk, apple skin, and citrus.
